Camp Attendant - Oko West Gold Project

About the role

G Mining Ventures (GMIN) acquired the Oko West project, a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana about 95 km west of Georgetown, in July 2024. The company is hiring a Camp Attendant to keep the outdoor areas of the project site clean, safe and attractive. The position is permanent and full-time, based at the OKO Project site.

Key responsibilities

• Mow grass at various locations on the Oko West grounds
• Collect waste and keep the ground clean and tidy, including household, general, sanitary and sewage waste
• Maintain walkways and other outdoor areas
• Report safety risks or maintenance issues
• Carry out scheduled fogging for mosquito and pest control
• Implement rodent control, including monitoring, bait placement and reporting infestations
• Assist other disciplines such as plumbing, carpentry, AC installation, electrical works, welding and the planners' team
• Support general maintenance and repair work as needed

Required profile

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
