Integration Case Worker – Consultant (Category A)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration seeks an Integration Case Worker (Consultant Category A) to provide comprehensive case management and integration support to migrants in Georgetown, Guyana. The consultant will assess individual needs, develop tailored integration plans, and facilitate access to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and develop individualized integration plans.
• Monitor case progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate referrals to housing, healthcare, education, language training, and employment services.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with protection principles and safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, or victims of trafficking.
• Experience collaborating with governmental bodies, UN agencies, and NGOs in a multicultural setting.

• Case management: assessment, planning, monitoring, and complex case handling.
• Interviewing and assessment techniques.

• Client‑centred approach and knowledge of migrant integration frameworks.
