Recruiter - Independent Contractor

About the role

This position is responsible for recruiting drivers and a variety of other roles for expressgroup. It is a 40‑hour‑per‑week independent contractor role with flexible scheduling, requiring adjustments based on candidate availability and time‑zone considerations. Compensation includes a base salary of GYD 120,000–140,000 per month plus uncapped performance‑based commission.

Key responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for driver and other assigned positions.
• Manage candidate communication via calls, texts, and emails throughout the recruitment process.
• Follow up during the first 90 days for retention, referrals, and process improvement.
• Maintain complete and accurate candidate records in the ATS and other platforms.
• Submit qualified candidates and track their progress through the hiring pipeline.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on social media posts, job ads, and sourcing initiatives.
• Produce daily reports on candidate activity, submissions, interviews, and hiring progress.
• Achieve recruitment targets while ensuring quality and a positive candidate experience.
• Adapt to changes in hiring criteria, roles, and priorities as business needs evolve.
• Support additional recruitment and administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma; CSEC English or equivalent preferred.
• At least six months experience in a call‑center, customer service, sales, recruitment, or similar phone‑based role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse individuals and working across US time zones.
• Proficient with technology, including ATS platforms, spreadsheets, email, and online systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
• Comfortable in a target‑driven environment recruiting for various roles.
• Recruitment, interviewing, or screening experience is an asset; driver recruitment experience is a plus.
• Availability for approximately four weeks of onsite training.
