Information and Communication Technology Associate

About the role

The Information and Communication Technology Associate provides and coordinates ICT solutions and services for the country office, ensuring reliable end‑user support and optimal performance of IT networks and systems. The role contributes to the overall productivity of the mission while aligning with IOM ICT strategy, policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑user support and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN infrastructure and Tier‑2 network/desktop environments.
• Coordinate ICT service delivery in collaboration with regional ICT officers and central ICT units.
• Implement and support cloud‑based solutions, ensuring security and compliance.
• Document procedures, incidents and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or related field (or high‑school/diploma with equivalent experience).
• Five years (degree) or seven years (diploma) of professional experience in networking (LAN/WAN) and Tier‑2 support.
• Minimum one year of experience in cloud computing.
• Proficiency in English; working knowledge of an additional UN language is required, Spanish is desirable.
• Experience with international agencies or NGOs is an advantage.
