QAQC Officer – Construction Quality Assurance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented QAQC Officer to join Mowlem Group’s construction project in Timehri, Guyana. The role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external audits with regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate quality management documentation and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Verify compliance with ISO 9001 standards and develop project‑specific QA/QC plans.
• Monitor implementation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Plans (QCPs).
• Drive continuous improvement, manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and validate supplier QA processes.
• Promote site safety standards and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in construction quality assurance or similar role.
• Ability to work closely with project managers, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Good communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation.
