Health and Safety Officer

About the role

The Health and Safety Officer will lead the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System. This role ensures a safe and healthy working environment through proactive safety programs, inspections and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continual improvement of ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 45001 OHSMS.
• Conduct internal audits, weekly inspections and annual risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and deliver safety programs, first‑aid training, fire drills and emergency response plans.
• Investigate workplace incidents, maintain accurate safety records and produce regular reports for management.
• Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping and contractors to address health‑safety concerns and ensure proper signage and PPE.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in OHS or Safety Management and recognized OHS certification.
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
• Minimum 2 years of OHS experience, including experience with ISO‑certified management systems.
• Proven ability to write safety policies, conduct audits and investigate incidents.
