ROV Technician – Entry to Senior Levels

About the role

We are seeking ROV Technicians at entry, mid and senior levels to operate and maintain Remotely Operated Vehicles and associated subsea systems safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ROV equipment including cameras, acoustic positioning, sonar, manipulators, launch and recovery systems and hydraulic power units.
• Assist or pilot the ROV, evaluate environmental conditions, dock/undock from the tether management system and navigate using acoustic, sonar and visual cues.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, calibrate test equipment and control corrosion.
• Operate and service sub‑sea navigation gear such as magnetic compass, gyro, transducer, altimeter and survey instruments.
• Integrate and operate subsea tooling like cutters, pump units, multipurpose skids, dredging and sensory systems.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for all assemblies.

Required profile

• Formal training or equivalent experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics systems (12‑18 months for entry, 18‑24 months for mid, 2‑3 years for senior).
• Ability to obtain a valid passport and meet offshore work‑requirement documentation.

Required skills

• ROV operation and piloting.
• Cameras (video and still) and acoustic positioning systems.
• Sonar and manipulators (robotic arms).
• Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) and hydraulic power units.
• Sub‑sea navigation equipment (magnetic compass, gyro, transducer, altimeter).
• Sub‑sea tooling integration (cutters, pump units, skids, dredging systems, sensory systems).
