Senior Project Associate – Social Integration, Housing & NFI

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support social integration, housing assistance, and non‑food item (NFI) distribution for beneficiaries in Guyana. Working under the Programme Coordinator and the National Project Officer, you will help plan, implement, coordinate and monitor key humanitarian activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of social integration, housing, food and NFI programmes for migrants and vulnerable groups.
• Coordinate with local authorities, implementing partners and community stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
• Monitor programme progress, collect data and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Support logistical arrangements for the distribution of food and non‑food items.
• Maintain close liaison with United Nations agencies, NGOs and government bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, OR a high‑school diploma with six years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with governmental authorities, UN agencies and non‑governmental organisations.
• Previous experience in an international humanitarian or development setting.
