Programme Support Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Support Associate to join its team in Georgetown, Guyana. The role supports IOM’s mission to promote humane and orderly migration by providing administrative and operational assistance to programmes serving migrants, refugees and other vulnerable groups.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate liaison with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.
• Prepare and submit purchase requisitions, track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain case files, draft case notes and compile regular reports for programme monitoring.
• Assist in organising meetings, workshops and field activities, ensuring logistical arrangements are in place.
• Support the implementation of migration‑related projects in challenging environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Human Rights, International Relations or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR a high‑school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons or victims of trafficking.
• Experience liaising with governmental bodies, UN agencies and NGOs.
• Prior experience in an international humanitarian or multicultural setting is an advantage.
