Driver Manager

About the role

The Driver Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end operational management of drivers and continuous monitoring of freight movements to ensure safe, timely, and efficient service delivery. The role involves supervising daily driver activities, coordinating schedules and routes, and maintaining clear communication with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily driver activities and maintain consistent communication throughout each shift.
• Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance.
• Prepare drivers with load information, equipment, documentation, and customer instructions.
• Provide coaching and operational guidance to improve service quality and compliance.
• Coordinate driver schedules, route changes, and operational adjustments.
• Promote adherence to company safety standards and operating procedures.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery using GPS, ELD, and TMS.
• Conduct scheduled driver check calls and verify arrival, departure, loading, unloading, and delivery statuses.
• Identify shipment delays or disruptions early and propose recovery plans.
• Escalate operational concerns promptly to Operations Management.
• Verify proof of delivery and supporting transportation documentation.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely and accurate communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of related work experience.
• 5 successful passes or more at CSEC or equivalent.
• Excellent computer and administrative skills.
• A strong work ethic.

Required skills

• GPS navigation tools.
• Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Transportation Management System (TMS).
