General Manager - Automotive Branch

About the role

A growing automotive organization is looking for a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead the overall operations and business performance of its branch in Georgetown, Guyana. The role suits a proactive leader who can manage a small multi-functional team while driving operational efficiency, commercial growth and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations, including sales, workshop, planning, logistics and support, and identify operational improvements
• Drive sales performance, build client and partner relationships, and identify new business opportunities
• Work with finance teams on revenue, costs and profitability, and support budgeting and cost control
• Oversee scheduling, operational planning and logistics coordination, and adjust plans as needed
• Handle day-to-day HR matters such as recruitment, onboarding, employee development and employee relations, in line with company policy and local labour regulations
• Report regularly to senior leadership and communicate clearly with headquarters

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in operations, branch management or general management
• Experience leading small teams in a multi-functional business
• Strong understanding of sales operations, business processes and financial principles
