Mechanical Material Coordinator

About the role

Oko West Mine Site in Guyana is looking for a Mechanical Material Coordinator on a fixed-term contract covering the duration of the construction. The role supports construction and commissioning activities by coordinating the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of mechanical equipment, materials and spare parts.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of mechanical equipment, materials and spare parts.
• Monitor inventory levels and keep accurate records so materials are available on time and traceable.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, construction and mechanical teams to speed up deliveries, resolve discrepancies and avoid delays.
• Check that materials meet technical specifications, purchase orders and quality requirements, keeping full documentation and tracking records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent, or relevant experience in the construction mining industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical material coordination, warehousing or logistics for gold mining construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to read technical documentation and material specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or equivalent.

What we offer

• Temporary contract for the duration of the construction, with a rotation schedule of 23 days on and 19 days off.
• Open to local and international candidates, with preference for qualified Guyanese applicants.
• Salary negotiable.
