Procurement Lead

About the role

The Procurement Lead provides strategic procurement leadership, ensuring effective contract delivery, supplier governance and service excellence for client operations. The role is the main liaison with the client, oversees procurement performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and makes sure procurement activities follow company policies, client expectations and local content requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary procurement representative and relationship manager for the client
• Lead procurement service delivery while meeting contractual SLAs and KPIs
• Manage client communications, issue resolution and escalations
• Oversee procurement governance, supplier performance and policy compliance
• Ensure procurement supports local content and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate procurement resources to meet operational demands
• Run monthly procurement performance reviews and share service metrics with stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimisation
• Mentor procurement personnel and ensure succession and backup coverage
• Work with logistics, operations, finance and vendors for smooth execution

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or a related field
• CIPS qualification preferred
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine or Industrial operations preferred

Required skills

• Strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract administration
• Knowledge of procurement best practices
• Nice to have: additional languages and strong analytical skills
