Senior Maintenance Technician - Mobile Equipment & Construction

About the role

Gatesource HR is recruiting a Senior Maintenance Technician for mobile equipment, construction and mechanics, based in Georgetown, Guyana. The role covers the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of construction equipment so that it stays available, safe and meets customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics of mechanical, hydraulic and onboard electronic systems
• Troubleshoot complex or critical failures
• Carry out major repairs on engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems
• Conduct root cause analysis and propose sustainable solutions
• Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and report and follow up on each intervention
• Act as the technical interface with manufacturer support teams
• Comply with quality, safety and environmental standards

Required profile

• Vocational diploma to associate degree in construction equipment, agricultural machinery or heavy vehicle maintenance
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role; experience with construction equipment is highly desirable
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in field conditions

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, hydraulics and electrical systems
• Ability to read technical schematics
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, strong customer service mindset and team player
