QMED / Oiler - Offshore Rig

About the role

Noble is looking for a skilled, safety-conscious QMED/Oiler to join its offshore team in Georgetown, Guyana. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with large-scale diesel engines and is committed to keeping engineering spaces safe and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned engineering and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, keeping operations within contractual limits
• Maintain accurate entries on permits, isolation tags and logs, and keep engineering spaces clean and organised
• Carry out general maintenance such as cleaning, painting and upkeep of motor and machinery rooms
• Perform preventative maintenance according to the maintenance programme, and support repairs and projects to minimise backlog
• Assist the 3rd Engineer with rig power generation equipment, drives and related air, fuel, water, cooling and heating systems
• Report parts, tools and supplies needed for maintenance, and assist other crew as directed by the Chief Engineer, Rig Maintenance Supervisor, Driller or Rig Manager
• Support the training of new team members and maintain good communication with the crew
• Follow Noble's safety standards: correct unsafe acts immediately, use hazard identification tools, take part in pre-tour and weekly safety meetings, run safety stand downs, complete safety critical tasks and develop Job Safety Analyses
• Comply with government regulations and Noble's management system, and respond effectively during emergencies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of engine room experience on large-scale diesel engines
• Valid QMED/Oiler endorsement (or higher) for the vessel's flag state
• Completion of all required training within the designated timeframes
