Associate – Tax & Legal Services

About the role

PwC’s Tax & Legal Services team in Guyana is seeking an Associate to support clients with tax compliance, advisory and related legal matters. You will work within collaborative engagement teams, helping clients meet statutory obligations while managing tax and legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate income tax, VAT and other statutory returns, including calculations and supporting schedules.
• Compile, organise and validate client financial and operational information for tax filings and advisory work.
• Support tax provisioning, reporting assignments and related analyses, reconciliations and documentation.
• Track filing, payment and information‑request deadlines, communicating risks to the engagement team.
• Maintain accurate electronic working papers in line with PwC methodology.
• Assist with corporate, commercial, employment, immigration and regulatory assignments under supervision.

Required profile

• Up to two years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, finance, legal services or professional services (not mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Law or related discipline.
• Progress toward a professional qualification such as ACCA or a recognised legal qualification is desirable.
• Ability to work from the Georgetown office and travel within Guyana as required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of commercial law is an asset.
