Senior Driver

About the role

The Senior Driver provides reliable, safe, and timely transportation services for staff, officials, visitors, and goods. Working under the International Organization for Migration, the role ensures compliance with organisational policies and road safety regulations while supporting the mission’s mobility needs.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned vehicles for senior officials, including the Chief of Mission, Head of Office, and Regional Director.
• Organise and monitor transportation schedules for other drivers in the unit.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, belts) and arrange minor repairs to maintain roadworthiness.
• Ensure regular service intervals and keep vehicles clean.
• Maintain spare‑part inventory and conduct monthly stock counts.
• Plan the most direct and safe routes using available roads.
• Prepare daily log sheets and monthly reports on mileage, fuel consumption, and other statistics.
• Provide airport pick‑up services and assist with immigration and customs formalities.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, and parcels to various offices and agencies.
• Support office staff with basic clerical tasks when required.
• Brief and train other drivers on all duties and responsibilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Strong knowledge of driving rules, regulations, and vehicle operation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle security‑sensitive situations.
