CNC Trainee

About the role

An entry-level CNC Trainee position in the manufacturing team in Georgetown, Guyana. The role offers hands-on training and mentorship in CNC machining and programming within the oil and gas manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities

• Learn CNC machine operations, programming and machining processes under experienced machinists and supervisors.
• Assist with setting up and operating CNC machinery to make drilling tools, components and precision parts.
• Inspect workpieces for quality and specification compliance and make adjustments as needed.
• Support routine maintenance of CNC machines and keep the work area clean and organised.
• Follow all safety protocols strictly and report safety concerns promptly.
• Work with machinists, engineers and other team members to meet production goals.
• Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum of three CSEC passes.
• Technical or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards is an asset.
