About the role
EnerMech is looking for an experienced Operations Engineer to support planning and execution of offshore and onshore PPU (Process, Pipeline, and Umbilical) service operations in Guyana. You will act as the technical and operational liaison between internal teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Support engineering and execution of PPU services such as filling, flushing, pigging, leak testing, hydro‑testing, de‑watering, and conditioning.
- Conduct Umbilical hydraulic, electrical, and fiber‑optic testing, commissioning, fluid displacement, bolting, torquing, and tensioning.
- Prepare operational procedures, risk assessments, and project execution plans.
- Coordinate field operations to ensure safe, efficient work in line with approved procedures.
- Ensure equipment suitability, manage permits, load‑outs, packing lists, and equipment preparation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support project close‑out reporting.
Required profile
- Engineering degree or mechanical trade/vocational qualification.
- Valid driver’s licence and passport; offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET) or ability to obtain.
- 3+ years of field experience in a supervisory or engineering role within PPU services or related discipline.
- Hands‑on operational experience in one or more PPU service lines.
- Strong understanding of offshore and onshore operations and ability to read P&IDs.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Interpretation of P&IDs.
