Topside Engineer – Offshore FPSO Projects

About the role

EnerMech is looking for an experienced Topside Completion Engineer to act as the offshore client representative for topside modification and upgrade projects on FPSO facilities. You will lead the execution of work packages, ensure safe integration of new equipment, and coordinate with construction, commissioning and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage topside modification scopes, including oil, gas, water processing, utility, flare, safety, instrumentation and control systems.
• Oversee installation, hook‑up and integration of new equipment into live FPSO facilities while minimizing production disruption.
• Lead SIMOPS activities, coordinate system tie‑ins, shutdowns and phased implementation plans.
• Supervise contractors, verify compliance with drawings, standards and QA/QC, and drive mechanical completion and system readiness reviews.
• Support commissioning activities such as loop checking, functional testing, system start‑up and handover to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• Extensive offshore oil and gas experience with FPSO facilities, particularly brownfield modifications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple work packages in live production environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
