Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of SANY heavy‑machinery solutions throughout Guyana. This senior position requires strategic oversight of sales, after‑sales service, spare‑parts logistics and technical support to keep the company the top partner for construction, mining, agriculture and transportation sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, inventory and fleet management of excavators, cranes, rollers and related equipment to match market demand.
• Manage the spare‑parts supply chain, reducing equipment downtime for remote mining and agricultural sites.
• Implement digital tracking systems for inventory and fleet movements.
• Lead the technical service department, ensuring maintenance to SANY global standards and rapid‑response mobile teams for on‑site repairs.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs and warranty claim processes.
• Streamline operational workflows from inquiry to delivery, introducing telematics and remote monitoring solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Guyanese regulations and international safety standards.
• Recruit, train and mentor technicians, logistics coordinators and administrative staff, fostering a reliability‑first culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of operations management experience in heavy equipment, automotive or industrial machinery.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• Deep knowledge of the Guyanese mining and construction landscape.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex logistics in a high‑growth market.
