Sales Representative - Construction Equipment & Power Tools

About the role

Brydens is hiring a Sales Representative for its ICON (Guyana) business in East Coast Demerara. The role promotes and markets the company's range of construction equipment and power tools, organizes customer site visits and provides product information to customers and in-house staff. It is an on-site position in Guyana, open only to candidates legally authorized to work there.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations and give product information to customers and staff in a timely way
• Contact customers and prospects and organize site visits or meetings
• Help with market research and competitor information
• Train in-house staff on equipment, especially new ranges
• Identify complementary new products, evaluate them and make recommendations
• Coordinate delivery of equipment, including hand-over and pre-delivery inspections
• Support promotions, demonstrations and trade shows
• Carry out after-sales site visits and keep in touch with customers on a scheduled basis
• Update prospect and project lists with contact details and project status
• Prepare documentation for equipment licensing and registration
• Prepare monthly reports of sales contacts and summaries of sales visits
• Assist with supplier visits, tender preparation and special projects
• Ensure QMS and HSE requirements are followed and attend training programmes, seminars and management meetings

Required profile

• Minimum of five CXC passes, including Mathematics and English
• At least three years of experience in a sales environment
• Tertiary education in marketing or an industrial discipline is an asset
• Valid driver's permit and a reliable working vehicle
• Legal authorization to work in Guyana
